John's REALTOR® Service

Giving back to the profession!

John with 2009 National Association of Realtors President Charles McMillan

John has been involved with almost every aspect of the REALTOR world since 1990 including Realty Roundup, Education, Professional Standards, Fair Housing, International Committee, Builders With Will Wynn Fair, Budget, and Bylaws, as well as a variety of task force appointments. Highlights of his service include 2 terms as ACTRIS Chairman that included the selection and successful changeover from Interealty to Tempo in 2002. John also served as Chairman of ABoR in 2006 and as a Director of the National Association of REALTORS from 2006-2008. He is currently a Director of the Texas Association of REALTORS.

Along the way he managed to sell his fair share of real estate, helping hundreds of families with their property needs. He was the top listing agent for Stanberry & Associates multiple times and was named ABoR's Salesman of the Year in 2000. He has managed an office for his company and often spends his spare time putting together classes in Sales, Negotiating, MLS Tools, Parliamentary Procedure, and the latest 'Green' knowledge for his agents.

In 2008 he did not sell real estate as a grant proposal he wrote was funded by the Texas Workforce Commission. That grant helped establish the Texas Foundation for Innovative Communities whose main project is the Texas Clean Energy Park. John spent the year traveling around Austin and the country listening and learning about the vast number of innovations that are just around the corner that will impact real estate and redefine the understanding of what is considered a good property. His work also garnered him an invitation to join a select few that formed the NAR Presidential Advisory Group that helped shape NAR's policy concerning Global Warming and other related issues.
